Principal's Message

Dear VES Families,

As we approach the end of another wonderful school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on what an incredible year it has been at Vogelweh Elementary School. This year has been filled with academic growth, student achievement, meaningful experiences, and countless moments that reminded us how special our VES community truly is.

First, I would like to extend a huge thank you to all of the parents, community members, and volunteers who participated in our Career Day on May 14. Our students had an amazing time learning about a variety of careers and future opportunities. A very special thank you goes to Ms. Flores and Mr. Greve for spearheading this outstanding event and helping create such a meaningful learning experience for our students. We truly appreciate everyone who took the time to support our school and inspire our Eagles.

We are also looking forward to several exciting end-of-year events. Field Day will take place on June 3, and both students and staff are excited for a day filled with fun, teamwork, and school spirit. Our final Eagle Awards Assembly will be held on June 5. Families of students receiving awards will receive an invitation prior to the ceremony.

The last day of school for students is Tuesday, June 9, with an early release at 11:00 a.m. Breakfast will be served that morning; however, lunch will not be served due to the early release schedule. June 10 will be a teacher workday and the final duty day for staff.

I would also like to extend my sincere appreciation to our incredible Vogelweh PTSA for their unwavering support throughout the school year. From movie nights, Parents’ Night Out, and the Fall Festival, to supporting Paint and Sip, the Glow Dance, the Annie musical production, and so many other events and activities, our PTSA has worked tirelessly to help create memorable experiences for our students and families. Their partnership and dedication to VES are deeply appreciated.

Thank you to our families for your continued support, encouragement, and partnership throughout the school year. Together, we have created a positive and supportive learning environment where our students could thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

I hope all of our students, staff, and families have a safe, restful, and enjoyable summer break. Thank you for making this school year such a success. Once an Eagle, always an Eagle!

Kindly,
Dr. Pamela Wimberly
Principal, Vogelweh Elementary School
