Vogelweh Elementary students and families came together on Jan 26 for the "Light Up the Night with Kindness" dance. The event capped off a schoolwide kindness unit led by the counseling team. With music, dancing, and high participation from students and volunteers, the night showcased the power of kindness in action!

The Vogelweh Elementary School community came together for an unforgettable evening at the "Light Up the Night with Kindness" dance, the culminating event of a kindness unit led by school counselors Nicole Flores and Jason Greve.

Throughout the week, students participated in a kindness-themed spirit week, dressing up to promote compassion and positivity. The glow dance served as a celebration of teamwork, community spirit and the power of kindness.

The Vogelweh Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) and parent volunteers transformed the Vogelweh Commons into a glowing neon wonderland, creating a vibrant and inviting atmosphere. Fifth grade students and volunteers from Kaiserslautern High School’s JROTC, National Honor Society and Kaiserslautern Middle School’s National Junior Honor Society played a key role in making the event a success, lending their time and energy to ensure a fun-filled evening.

Music and laser lights kept students and families on their feet, dancing and making memories that will last a lifetime.

"Light Up the Night with Kindness" was more than just a dance — it was a testament to the strength of the Vogelweh community and the impact of kindness. Organizers expressed gratitude to all who contributed to the event’s success and look forward to future opportunities to bring the school community together.
